Bit Part announced five new products and updates at NAB Show 2026, led by the bitbox max, a wireless camera control radio with four times the RF output of the original bitbox, and the bitbox mini-c, a USB-C version of its compact sibling.

Key takeaways:

  • bitbox max: 1W RF output, $1,599, ships late summer 2026

  • bitbox mini-c: USB-C connectivity, $649, ships June 2026

  • bit.ctrl for Sony VENICE: public beta available on macOS and iPadOS

  • bitbox Utility and firmware 2.0: free, rolling out to all devices in Q2 2026

Long-Range Signal: The bitbox max pushes RF output to 1W, four times the original bitbox, aimed at sets where range and signal obstruction are the main failure points.

Bit Part says the bitbox max is designed to "punch through walls, vehicles, and dense sets." The unit is machined aluminum, weighs under 100g, and uses a unified 860-930MHz frequency band with field-replaceable antennas. Power options include an 11-36V Lemo input or 5V USB-C, with 7.5W USB-C passthrough. Pricing is set at $1,599, with a $500 trade-up credit for original bitbox owners at CineGear Expo 2026.

Going USB-C: The bitbox mini-c replaces Ethernet with USB-C, cutting weight to 49g and simplifying cabling on compact rigs.

At 49g, the mini-c is positioned as the smallest wireless camera control radio on the market. It supports base mode for up to two remote radios and uses 60% post-consumer recycled plastic with a 7075-T6 aluminum mounting plate. Both bitbox radios work with ARRI, RED, Sony, SmallHD, Phantom, Semote, CyanView, and any IP-based control system. The mini-c is priced at $649 and ships in June 2026.

Software Stack: Bit Part rounded out the announcement with three software releases: bit.ctrl, bitbox Utility, and firmware 2.0.

  • bit.ctrl: A controller app for Sony VENICE cameras, available in public beta for macOS and iPadOS

  • bitbox Utility: A free configuration and management app for macOS and Windows

  • Firmware 2.0: A free update for all bitbox devices, rolling out in Q2 2026

Bit Part's NAB 2025 bitbox mini launch focused on shrinking the radio. The NAB 2026 lineup extends the ecosystem in three directions: more range, newer connectors, and a dedicated camera app.

Between the Antennas: Bit Part has opened hardware reservations for both new radios. Firmware updates reach all existing devices in Q2 2026, and the Sony VENICE controller is live in public beta. The NAB 2026 lineup addresses both new buyers and existing customers across Bit Part's hardware and software layers.
