Roundup of the highlights of what’s new from Mo-Sys at NAB:

  • StarTracker, Mo-Sys' flagship product, is the highest-selling optical tracking solution for virtual production.

  • Mo-Sys Academy is a practical hands-on learning experience via its academy in London and LA, enabling learners to return to their studios with the confidence to experiment with their systems.

  • StarTracker Max, a new iteration of the successful StarTracker, is smaller and more compact, equipped with an IR camera for tracking retro-reflective markers. This hardware-software setup allows users to create a star map, facilitating a quick startup process for virtual production without the need for regular recalibration.

  • Mo-Sys also showcased its newest product, MoRail. This robotic, height-adjustable curved rail is aimed at applications in newsrooms, sports broadcasts, and more. Coupled with a PTZ camera and track graphics, MoRail offers programmed movement control and creates immersive content by rotating the camera around the presenter.

  • Mo-Sys' VP Pro XR, a plugin within Unreal Engine, enables the tracking of camera position and lens data. With Cinematic XR Focus within VP Pro XR, filmmakers can pull focus between real and virtual objects, creating a more immersive narrative experience.
