A free Apple Creator Studio update for existing subscribers builds MotionVFX effects, rotoscoping, tracking and color grading tools into Final Cut Pro for Mac, and adds beta AI assistants to Logic Pro, Keynote, Pages and Numbers. Editors can pull graphics, titles and stock video from inside Final Cut Pro, then send timeline images to Pixelmator Pro and back without reimporting.
- MotionVFX is built into Final Cut Pro for Mac. Editors get thousands of templates, titles, transitions and graphics, plus rotoscoping, tracking and color grading tools.
- Timeline images round-trip to Pixelmator Pro. You can open any image from the timeline in Pixelmator Pro, and changes save back to the project automatically.
- Pixelmator Pro adds Generate Fill. You select an area of an image and describe the change you want in plain language.
- Beta assistants arrive in Logic Pro and the productivity apps. Logic Pro for Mac, Keynote, Pages and Numbers each get one, and the three productivity apps add beta MCP support for outside AI agents.
- The update is free for existing subscribers. It reaches the App Store in November, and new subscribers to the Creator Studio bundle pay $12.99 (U.S.) per month or $129 per year.
Final Cut Pro and Motion get MotionVFX tools and Content Hub stock video
Final Cut Pro for Mac now integrates MotionVFX, the company Apple bought, as RedShark News reported, adding themed templates, graphics, titles and transitions alongside rotoscoping, tracking and color grading tools.
Apple's Content Hub, a curated library of stock video, photos and backgrounds, now includes video and is available inside Final Cut Pro. Editors can also generate images from text descriptions within a project, and other editing changes include:
- More keyframe easing options for animation control
- Disconnecting clips from the primary storyline to place them anywhere on the timeline
- 23 new transcription languages for captioning and searching footage
Motion gets built-in MotionVFX plug-ins for cinematic color grading, 3D camera tracking and one-click selection, plus text-to-image generation, Pixelmator Pro round-tripping, keyframe easing and a new Displacement filter.
Compressor can now encode Cinematic mode video recorded on iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone Duo.
Pixelmator Pro's Generate Fill edits a selected area from a text description
Apple's Pixelmator Pro editor adds Generate Fill, which lets you circle part of an image and describe the change. For tighter selections, it works with the existing Free Selection, Quick Selection and Magnetic Selection tools.
Apple says Generate Fill matches the lighting, perspective and texture of the surrounding image, while built-in Super Resolution upscales the generated content. Results can merge into existing layers or land on new layers with masking for further refinement.
Logic Pro adds a beta assistant, drum stem separation and a tagged sound Browser
On the Mac, Logic Pro gains a beta assistant powered by a combination of Apple-built and third-party models. It can help start a song, set up a vocal track from a single prompt or refine an active project.
The assistant requires macOS 27 Golden Gate or later on an Apple Intelligence-capable Mac and is available in U.S. English only.
A redesigned Browser on Mac centralizes loops, instruments and effect patches, including a Splice library. On-device music understanding analyzes, classifies and tags added sounds, so you can search your whole collection or drag in a loop to surface matching audio.
Stem Splitter can now isolate, replace or rebalance drum parts without the original multitracks. Other additions include:
- A Liquid Glass redesign on Mac and iPad
- A Producer Pack from Sergio George with his piano sound and Latin jazz and salsa loops
- Voice Memo Studio Sound, which reduces room ambience and background noise in recordings from supported iPhone models that can then be fine-tuned in Logic Pro
Keynote, Pages and Numbers add beta assistants and open to outside AI agents through MCP
Keynote, Pages and Numbers get a beta assistant built on Apple models and OpenAI that understands document context. In Keynote it helps design, animate and refine slides; in Pages it drafts and restructures text; in Numbers it organizes data, recommends chart types and builds custom tables.
New beta Model Context Protocol support, which requires macOS 27 or later, lets external AI agents and tools read content, perform edits and run automated actions directly in all three apps.
Keynote also adds the Keynote Interchange Format (.keyx), an open JSON-based bundle format Apple designed to be readable by external tools, developer workflows and AI agents.
The Content Hub adds stock video across all three apps, alongside new templates and themes for Creator Studio subscribers.
