ElevenLabs has launched Music Finetunes in ElevenCreative, a tool that lets users train a custom version of the ElevenLabs Music model on their own audio catalog. The result is a personalized AI music model that generates new tracks — vocals, instrumentals, or full compositions — that stay consistent with a specific sound, style, or brand identity.
The launch addresses one of the core limitations of general-purpose AI music tools: they can generate music, but they can't reliably generate your music. Finetunes solve that by anchoring the model to a specific sonic identity before generation begins.
How It Works
Users upload their own tracks to ElevenCreative, and the platform fine-tunes the ElevenLabs Music model to that specific sound. Once the finetune is ready, every generation — vocals, instrumentals, or full tracks — reflects the same tone and identity. The consistency carries across outputs, which is the key differentiator from standard prompt-based music generation.
ElevenLabs also ships 11 curated finetunes for users who don't have their own catalog to train on. These cover a range of styles and give Creator+ subscribers a starting point without requiring original material.
Every track submitted for fine-tuning goes through an automated copyright check before approval. ElevenLabs says this is designed to prevent training on unlicensed material — a direct response to the legal pressure AI music companies have faced over training data sourcing.
Who It's For
The most obvious use case is brand audio: a studio, production company, or network that has an established sonic identity and wants to generate new music that stays on-brand without commissioning new compositions every time. Composers and music supervisors working in post could also use finetunes to generate variations on a theme or extend a piece without manual re-recording.
The feature is available to Creator+ subscribers on ElevenCreative. ElevenLabs positions ElevenCreative as its dedicated creative suite, separate from the API and agent products.

ElevenLabs has moved aggressively into music since launching its core voice product. The company's ElevenCreative platform now covers voice, sound effects, and music generation under one interface. Music Finetunes is the first feature that makes the music layer genuinely customizable at the model level rather than just at the prompt level.
