From virtual stages to a virtual studio

Jamie Clemens & Joey Daoud
Vū is the is one of the largest networks of virtual production studios, with four volumetric LED sound stages in Tampa, Orlando, Nashville, and Las Vegas. They also consult on building stages, having worked on 18 so far.
But they’re not content with just being a network of virtual studios.
Here’s how Vū is diversifying in virtual production:
Creation of a Virtual Art Department (VAD) with Unreal designers and operators on staff
Virtual Studio by Vū, a series of tools for virtual production
Cuebric: uses generative AI to create 2.5D scenes that can be used as virtual backgrounds with parallax in a volume
Showrunner: Control stage lighting and scene selection
